Current Projects
We are currently fundraising for projects in Lancashire, Derbyshire, Suffolk, Kent and East Sussex, with others including in Scotland and Northern Ireland. We know that there are disabled people waiting to use the new boats that we supply and we work hard to meet this ever growing need. If you would like to make a donation towards the costs of providing new Wheelyboats please click here. Further details of our projects include:
Castle Semple
Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park, Castle Semple Centre and the Wheelyboat Trust have joined forces to fundraise for a fully accessible Coulam V20 Wheelyboat to provide more disabled people with powerboating and powerboat training, pleasure boating and angling at the outdoor activity centre in Renfrewshire. The Wheelyboat will enable people with disabilities to access and enjoy water-based activities who previously couldn’t as demand is outstripping availability at this hugely popular site. If you would like to make a donation towards this project please click here.
Rye Harbour Sailability
The Wheelyboat Trust and Rye Harbour Sailability (RHS) are collaborating to raise funds for a new wheelchair accessible V17 Wheelyboat for RHS to operate at Rye Harbour in East Sussex. A fully accessible Wheelyboat will give all people, irrespective of disability, the same opportunities of experiencing water sports and outdoor activities, especially in terms of reducing isolation and anxiety and improving wellbeing and the impact on both mental and physical health. If you would like to make a donation towards this project please click here.
Would you be able to help with our RUNNING COSTS? Funding the operational costs of bringing new Wheelyboat projects to fruition is entirely reliant on donations. You can send us a cheque by post in which case please download and complete a Gift Aid form to make your donation 25% more valuable. A recent fundraising partnership, which is now a reality.
